Notes:
L1C
• Write down and bear in mind the list prefix. Examples: "Generally" (i.e., with no prefix), "Recently," "In this lifetime," or "Regarding my finances," or "Regarding Mamie Slutz," or. . . .
• This list is usually done starting at Question 1 and going down the list, taking up each "reading" question at the time it bites.
• Once a question has been answered fully, continue on down the list.
• Often the upset will be handled before all the questions have been asked. In this case the list is considered complete, as the purpose of doing it has been achieved.
• After you have noted a response in your mind to the question, there is an option to "check ownership." Do so or not at your choice — there isn't a "right" way to do it.
General instructions for Rudiments (not main actions):
Thoroughly understand the command and what it entails
Make sure you have chewed over and worked out:
- What the command means exactly, AND
- How it applies to you personally in your own life.
No slacking off!
You have to pay attention and work at these sessions. You can't sort of sit back and let this all run on automatic if you want to get much out of it. Some of these sessions might be free of charge but they are never free of effort.
Go with what flashes to mind
Briefly say aloud (images, feelings, sounds, whatever) what has been triggered by the command. Don't second-guess it and try to find another answer. Simply:
- describe aloud (really!) what got triggered by the command,
- make a comment on your worksheet if you wish,
- click the next link.
Don't flog a dead horse
Rudiments are quick actions. If nothing is being triggered by the command, then consider the rudiment flat at the moment. On a list like an L1C, this would apply to each line.
Write comments
Write any brief comments or realizations on your worksheet. At least write down something when you have finished with a rudiment or line on a list that you have taken up.
Run till key-out and don't try and go on for some other end phenomenon
You're not trying to run your case with a rudiment. You're trying to get something out of the way so you can run your case with the main action of the session, like a Grade Chart process.
Use the Robot commands
These sessions go much better if you follow the instructions and allow the Robot to give the commands and "run" the session. If you stop clicking the links and try to do it all "in your head" instead it really doesn't work so well.
